Founded in 1968, Sergio Rossi is an Italian brand of iconic luxury footwear for its elegance and femininity. Skilled artisans have created Sergio Rossi shoes for the past 50 years. The perfect couple requires 120 steps and 14 hours of work. The Sergio Rossi brand, a company specialized in Italian footwear, was created by Sergio Rossi in San Mauro Pascoli, in Italy in the 60s. It was in 1966 that Rossi started selling his models at the shops in Bologna and on the beaches of Rimini and in 1968 he signed his first pair of shoes: a name written in block letters, with a simple logo like that of a child, affixed to a black shoe with rounded tip. The '80s saw the beginning of the expansion of the brand, with an average of two boutiques open every year between 1980 and 1999. It was also at that time that the brand became closely linked to some of the leading design houses in the fashion industry, producing shoes for Dolce & Gabbana and Azzedine Alaïa. The philosophy of Sergio Rossi was simple: to think of a shoe, not as an overlapping ornament, but as the continuation of the body, comfortable, aesthetic, designed for the movement of a contemporary woman. Since then, the Sergio Rossi brand has extended to women's shoes to include shoes, bags and accessories for men. |
